The Origin

This program began on a
backroad in Minnesota.

Driving home after a board meeting, experiencing my first panic attack — that was the alarm I could no longer ignore. I had spent years treating my body as a vehicle for my ambitions. Pushing through exhaustion. Ignoring the signals. Performing competence while my nervous system quietly unraveled.

Burnout doesn't arrive all at once. It accumulates in the thousand small moments when you override what your body is telling you because the meeting can't wait, the team needs you, the organization is counting on you.

The turning point didn't come through a new strategy or better time management. It came through learning to listen — really listen — to what was happening in my body when I was leading, deciding, avoiding, performing. That listening became a practice. That practice became a transformation. And that transformation became this program.

I grew up in systems perfectly designed to produce high performance — until those systems broke me. What I found on the other side wasn't a better productivity hack. It was a completely different relationship with my body, my leadership, and what it means to truly show up for the people who depend on me.

My work lives at the intersection of somatic leadership, embodied coaching, mindfulness, and the science of the nervous system. I've spent years studying what Strozzi-Heckler calls the body as the seat of leadership habits — and building programs that help leaders move from performing leadership to inhabiting it.

From the yoga mat to the boardroom. From depletion to aliveness. This is the work I was made to do. And I believe it is the work our organizations desperately need.
